One of the side effects of paying attention to where everything comes from is that you’re occasionally pleasantly surprised by the things that are Made in The USA.
I borrowed a steamer from my stylist, Whitney, to steam the wrinkles out of a pair of giant muslin backgrounds for a photo shoot. (It’s for a client who, I have to say, has a pretty unrealistic expectation. But I guess “client” and “unrealistic expectation” sort of goes without saying.)
The steamer is the standard steamer that you see everywhere. It’s called a Jiffy Steamer, and it’s proud to be Made In The USA since 1940. And it works really well.
You can read about it if you want. Or surprise me with one as a gift so I don’t have to borrow it in the future.
Also I need a new record player.
