Rebuilt rugs that rock

Okay, amid the greenwash was some actually cool stuff in that Time design issue. Like the ABC Carpet Patchwork Collection.

Inspired by quilters along the Alabama River, Patchwork rugs juxtapose not denim and dust ruffles but exquisite shards salvaged from partly damaged antique Turkish rugs. The result: a Mediterranean melange.

I tried to find it on the ABC Carpet web site, but couldn’t come up with any easy-to-find links. So if you want to buy the carpet (for a gift, maybe, in case there’s someone you know in the Shaw neighborhood of St. Louis who has the perfect place for one), you may have to call them.
