Made In The U.S.A.

Happy Birthday, Leah

For my birthday, my good friend Leah gave me a very nice, and thoughtfully MITUSA, gift. She wanted to honor my MITUSA goals so she gave me a book about Annie Leibovitz she found on my Amazon.com wishlist, as well as a gift certificate to Avalon Exchange, a vintage clothing store in the Delmar Loop. I used it to buy a pair of previously-loved shoes and a previously-loved button-down shirt. I was MITUSA all the way, thanks to the recycled nature of previously owned clothing.

Yesterday was Leah’s birthday. I got her something good and MITUSA-y, too. A handmade bracelet from Brooklyn, NY by way of Phoenix Rising right here in St. Louis.

Although buying MITUSA-only gifts can be quite a challenge, it also means that most gifts you give are, if nothing else, unique.
