Go swap some clothes.

The Swap-O-Rama sounds like a pretty great thing. It’s a gathering of mostly do-it-yourselfers who swap old clothes and sew them into new clothes. In more official terms, Swap-O-Rama is “a clothing swap and series of do-it-yourself workshops in which a community explores creative reuse through the recycling of used clothing.”

I still need a new record player.

I still need a new record player. The one I rescued from the dumpster occasionally slows down, making it hard to rock out with anything out.

Even though I still need a new record player, I went to Vintage Vinyl on my way home and bought four used records. I must confess, I felt old and unhip buying four records that are decidedly uncool. But still, the heart wants what it wants. Read the rest of this entry »

I need some Junk for my Trunk.

Seriously. I need some junk for my trunk. Like junkyard junk, for my car trunk. Literally.

The hydraulic lifters for my hatchback hatch, i.e. trunk, have lost pressure and haven’t held the truck open for several months now. Well, yesterday they went out completely–and I learned that trunks are HEAVY. Like dangerously heavy. This is a serious issue. I NEED to fix them. Read the rest of this entry »
